Our trip to Alabama

I am back from a short trip to Alabama for my step son's wedding. My step son and his fiancee both live in Columbus Ohio, but they got married in Alabama.

My husband and I actually had a good travel this time . No plane delays , no baggage missing, etc. In short, it was a smooth trip. It was my first time to go to Alabama and I think it was a nice place, quiet and friendly people. Since we got there early, we were planning to watch the " River Fest ", but decided to just stay at the hotel because there was a thunder storm :( . Yes, we just stayed in the hotel and watch movie, and guess what movie we've watched , " Forest Gump " .LOL .

Rainy and Cold Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone. May each of us are having a good weekend.

My husband and I got up early for our monthly church breakfast this morning. I was really not wanted to get up yet because I went to bed late last night. I joked my husband that I don't want to get out from the apartment because it is Saturday. LOL But I am glad we did went to the breakfast to have fellowship with other believers.

Anyway, after the breakfast and fellowship. We went roaming the town looking for a house. ( We are planning to buy a house here in Minnesota even though we are still paying mortgage for our house in Columbus OH ).

My husband likes this one house that has a 2.1 acres , but my problem is the house is old. It was built in 1950, wheeww.. I even joked to my pastor and to my husband that I don't want to live in that house because there might be ghosts in there. LOL

We actually looked three homes this morning and boy.. it was cold. It was raining and the temperature is only 48F. And I was only wearing t-shirt and flip flops. I know it's almost summer but it's still a little bit cold here. I wish it's not raining so we could just walk to the theater later this afternoon( but we needed the rain though ). We are going to watch the movie called " UP "

I Miss Playing Racquetball

I really miss playing Racquetball. Although, I am not really good at it ( I was just learning ).

We lived near the base when we were in Charleston SC. Yes, I miss grocery shopping at the commissary , or buying perfumes at the Exchange and most especially , I miss the gym . My husband and I go to the gym almost everyday when we were down , except Wednesdays and Sundays ( Church days ).

My husband and I decided to play racquetball when there's no available machines that we can used while we're at the gym. Picture on the right was taken last year while I was playing racquetball and I really miss it!

Updates !!!

Hello everyone. May each of you had a productive week!

I would like to apologize for not updating my blog as I used to . As you can see, I don't even take opps now :) I was a little busy ( or I can say, I just got lazy he he he )

Actually, my husband advised me to give my eyes a break from the computer. I just had my annual eye check up done a month ago and as expected my prescription goes up again. And this time it's worst. And I am now wearing Bifocals. I am not even 40 years old yet. But at least, the one that I wearing has no lines which is better. ( I think )

Now , instead of sitting in front of the computer when I get home from work, I go to the gym and work out . It is my goal to wear a two - piece bikini for the first time LOL . Wish me luck!

Tomorrow , the United States will celebrate the Memorial Day. This is to HONOR the brave men and women who fought / fight for this great country! These people sacrifice their lives for the freedom. I salute you all ! I salute not only them, but to their spouses and families as well. It's not easy to be away from your husband or wife when the military member gets deployed. I know this , because me too am a military wife!

Our Easter Sunday

Easter is one of my favorite holiday of the year. This is such a great time to remind me of how God so loved me so much that He gave His only begotten Son . When Jesus died on the cross, satan thinks he won the battle , but he was so wrong. Because three days later Jesus conquered death.

This Easter / Resurrection day celebration was an awesome one. One of the youth who had just accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior got baptized that day. Here's some of our pictures during Easter Sunday!

The Best Vacation is Free

My husband and I are planning to take a vacation after their outage is done. Yes, he has been working long hours since the beginning of March. Working long hours was one of the reason he let me booked a flight going to Charleston SC without any question . But of course I want to go on a vacation or going out to eat with him. As a matter of fact, he already sent me an e-mail inviting me to go out on a date .

As as you all know, we have had a very cold winter this year. So going to a warmer place would be perfect. And there's a perfect place in Florida that I wanted to go that place is called Kissimmee . There are so many things we can do while in Kissimmee. I am a nature lover and I love to explore the beauty and wonder of God's creation. Exploring the beautiful place of Kissimmee is free. Hiking ,bird watching and picnic in the park during the day and fine dining during the night.

Snow in April

As I have mentioned on my last posts, I don't want to come back to Minnesota yet as I am enjoying the weather in Charleston . I just missed the Spring like weather in the Spring , not a winter like weather in the Spring. The grass and trees and flowers are already blossoming in Charleston , while in Minnesota trees and flowers are still hibernating. I know that winter is not over yet in Minnesota and sure enough on Sunday morning my husband told me it's snowing. And for some reason , I got so excited and got out with my tank top and pj. LOL

My Birthday, Charleston Visit and Such...

It has been awhile that I did not make any update on my blog. One of the many reasons why I didn't have a new post is because I was away for a week. Yes I went to Charleston South Carolina to attend a friend's wedding. That wasn't really a vacation since I work the whole time I was down there. And I even celebrated my birthday down there. My birthday was April 1. Instead of celebrating it with my husband, I celebrated my 37th birthday with my two best friends in South Carolina.

Here's some of the things I did when I was down there :)

March 28 - Arrived at the Charleston International Airport around 2:05. Marie came and picked me up and we went to a Filipino Restaurant for a late lunch. Then went shopping.

March 29 - Went to my old church for the worship service in the morning- Bonneau First Baptist Church and went to wedding in the afternoon.

March 30 - Work

March 31 - Work

April 01 - ( My Birthday ) Work .. then Marie and I picked Clavelene up so the three of us can go out for dinner .

April 2 - Work

April 3 - Work

April 4 - We got up early as I have an early flight back to Minnesota. Arrived @ the airport before 6 a.m. And checked in. And guess what.. my baggage was overweight. waaaaa Ever wonder why??? please look at what I did on March 28 . LOL

I really don't want to come back to Minnesota yet as I was so enjoying the weather in Charleston as well as the company of my friends but I really missed my husband already. Our plane landed at the MSP International Airport around 2pm and I am so thankful that my baggage was intact. And I am also thankful that I was able to find my car right away, as I forgot to write down the parking space number. All I know was that I parked the car at the 3rd level and at the green ramp :)

I can't believe it's already April. Seems like we just celebrated the Christmas and the New Year .

It's Finally 50 Degrees F

For the first time since November , we finally able to see our temperature reached to 50. What a beautiful day we had today. Everybody in this State is very excited and happy about the weather . I can't wait to see the grass and trees turning their colors from brown to green. I never thought Minnesota has a very long winter. I remember when we were still living in South Carolina ,starting February the trees and flowers start to bud. While here in MN , we still got snow on the ground. What a big difference of the weather.

We really have a weird weather here. A few days ago we just had a very temperature and then now it's 50 .. yay! Although it started to warm up, a lot of people here were telling me that winter is not over yet. But I believe the cold snap was gone, we probably still get some snow but probably no more below zero temperatures. Hopefully! Below is how our weather looks like in the next four days :) Very Nice, except Wednesday, our low is about 25 , but still that is a very nice temperature compared to the one we had last Wednesday.
