Simpsons - The movie

Last night , me and my husband went to watch the Simpson. We didn't even eat before we watch the movie he he he. When we went the the movie place to see the time showing, Todd find out that the movie will start in 10 minutes . Our plan was to eat first and then watch the movie, but it was changed. We decided to watch it first and then just eat after the movie.

The movie is not that long, and it was funny :-) Like the Tv series , Homer is always dumb and stupid. he he he.. ( He's better than Peter in family Guy ) . And as always , Lisa is the kind of person who cares about environment, etc. And Margs is always the loving wife and mother he he he he. And Bart was trying looking for a father and son relationship. In the movie , Homer found a pig, which he cares more than his children. ( yes, I told you , he's an idiot! ) hahahaha. While Lisa and the rest of the town where cleaning the Springfield lake, Homer dumped the pig's waste in the very clean lake . Then that was the start of the chaos. I wont tell anything here, you should watch the movie yourself. I can assure you, its fun! :-))

Typical Saturday

I got up around 8:30 am . I am still tired. I went to bed late last night , I usually chat with my sister on Friday evening my time, saturday morning her time. Aside from having a stomach ache the whole day yesterday, I also had a bad headache last night. My head was pounding and I really cried becuase it hurts too much. I am allergy to any aspirens, but last night I had to take some becuase the pain was unbearable. About 10-15 minutes after I took the aspiren, then the swell in my face starts to show. And then the headache still there. But I wanted to talk to my sister becuase we haven't chatted for about 2 weeks.

Anyway, I am baking my husband's favorite banana bread. He really likes it. He said its best banana bread he ever had. And one day I brought some banana bread to the office, and all who tried it loves it and I got lots of A's from all of them :-) . That was actually the first banana bread I ever baked. It was my husband who tasted it first , and then I asked him if its not embarrasing to bring it to work so that my officemates can try it. I got his high 5, so I did bring it.

I might be doing a lof of things today. I might as well do laundry today. I am hoping my husband will let me go to the mall. I think VS is having a sale. But of course we are going to the gym first. Saturday usually our "Rocketball day ", while the rest of the week we do cardios and weights. Working out at the gym is really fun, plus it will make you healthy. I didn't go to the gym to lost weight, ( I am 104 lbs ) whewww !!. The reason for going to the gym is to stay fit.

Wala lang

It is very hot outside today. I think we have a temperature of about 90 or plus. When I left this morning I leave a note near the thermo stat for the repairman to see. Our A/C is not working at all, yet we have a very high electric bill this month. I called the apartment office while I was at work to asked them if they could send somebody to check on our A/C. I told them that when I left the house, I always leave the aircon running, and put it at 75, but when I got home the temperature in the apartment is about 85 , HOLY MOLY! The A/C keeps running non stop, but its not cooling at all, that is why we have a very healthy amount of electric bill this month :-( .

I didn't go home directly from work, I stopped by at the post office to send a package to a Pinay living in Seattle WA. On Sunday July 15th, me and some friends online talked about eating a sardines. And then this girl said that she haven't have a sardines since she arrived in the US. Actually, USA has a sardines too, but it tastes nasty. Sardines from the Philippines are great tasting. I love it! I told her that if she will give me her address that I am going to send her some sardines . So I did went to the Filipino store and bought her some sardines , and I also send her some pancit canton, and sinigang mix and adobo mix. I can really understand her cravings for Filipino foods, I 'ved been there.

It was still hot outside when I get home, although its already 6 pm. I was like, I hope the a/c is working now, or else I will be sleeping in the tub. But when I get in, I noticed that its kind of cool.. so I am happy, finally they fixed it!

Friday the 13th

I woke up around 6:20 a.m. today but didn't got out bed until like 6:50. I was really planning to get up early becuase I have to put gas in the car before I go to work. ( I wouldn't have to buy gas today if its not becuase of the bad accident Friday) .

Around 4:50 pm, when I was getting ready to leave work for home, one of my office mate said that the interstate is close due to fire. He said something about the paper mill being on fire, and then later on he came back and said , no it wasn't the paper mill. There was bad accident near the bridge. And it was on fire. There are multiple cars involved in the accident , and I later found out that there were 5 people died in that accident. So they close the interstate. I was so worried as I dont know any alternate road going home. So I followed one of my officemate and we went the back way. It was quite a drive. But I got home safe around 6:25 p.m.

I really believe that God controls everything. On that day , Friday, July 13th. The lady who does our payroll took a vacation. And so on that day, I did the payroll. I normally go home early every Friday. Usually at 4:30 p.m. But on that day I didn't becuase I am not done with the payroll yet. Maybe if our payroll clerk, didnt take a vacation that day, I should have gone early, and I might that be in that accident. I really do believe that ALL our STEPS have been ordered by God.

My Hometown & My family

I was born and grew up in a very small place called Taliran . Taliran is one of the purok of Barangay Rebokon and Rebokon is a one of the barangay of the Dumalinao town. Dumalinao is one of the town of Zamboanga del Sur. The people of Taliran are very friendly. Every one knows everybody. We have a very simple life. Most of the people here farmed as a way of living. When I was growing up , there was no electricity, we dont have a running water, but people there seems to be content. We have to pitch water from a " sandayung" , for drinking, cooking and washing the dishes. After we arrived home from school, we have to pitch water until our jar is full. Sometimes we have to go to sandayung like 5 times to make the jar full. The sandayung is about 3/4 mile. Yes we do have a very good exercise!

Me and my siblings go to the school which is called Rebokon Elementary School when we were in Elementary and to Rebokon National High School when we were in high school. The school is about an hour or so walk from our home and another hour or so from school to our home. And we do this 5 times a week. We dont have cars, or any public transportation. In fact the only road we have a little road where carabao carried "balsa". The road is really small and very muddy. During the rainy season, sometimes we will be walking in a knee deep mudd or water going to school. We have to walk in the mud barefoot. And in the dry season , it is very dusty. But despites these hardship that I had when I was growing up, I was able to finish college and have a degree! Thanks for my parents who work so hard.

Well, although this place doesn't have an electricity. It is really pretty. It is peaceful , it is very quite and the air is really fresh. You can't beat that. This place is sorrounded with mountains and trees. And did I mention the river nearby our farms? Oh we used to swim there after the floods, becuase the water seems very clean.

My parents has a farm and until now, they still have it. We have all kinds of animals. We have horses, cows, carabaos, pigs, chicken , goats.. and we also have dogs and cats :-) . They have a rice paddy which me and my siblings helped work during saturdays and after we arrived home from school. I remember having my own pig to take care so I can use the money for my 1st year in high school. Working in the farm is not easy. It is hard work. My parents also has a lot of fruit trees and vegetables. We have mangoes, star apple, santol, guyabano, we have lots and lots of banana. My mother planted lots of vegetables like string beans, squash, eggplants, and many others.

I came from a very big family. I have 5 brothers and 3 sisters, and we love each other. I remember when we were teenagers, me and my 2 younger sisters we borrowed dress,t-shirts and shoes from each other. The 3 of us wear the same sizes from jeans to dress to shoes. Its amazing :-) My 3 other brothers were able to finished high school but then they got married without going to college. I wish they did! My other sister just graduated from College last October. My youngest sister got married and have a children , she was not able to finish college. But I would like for her to continue her studies as soon as her children are big enough . Now that my other sister finished college, its my other sibling turn to go to college. I can only send one at a time. I wish I could help more.

I really miss my hometown and my family. I hope I can visit home anytime soon :-)
