It's been two weeks that I have not updated my blog. Seems like forever. For some reason , I don't like to use our laptop when I am blogging. I prefer using the desktop. But since we are in a totally different place, that was impossible.
Like I said in my previous entry, my husband and I stayed at the hotel since our things are not here yet. On Thursday , June 19 the movers finally deliver our stuff. Although staying at the hotel is nice, but I still prefer to live in a house where you can do whatever you want.
Saturday , we spent most of our time unpacking our stuff. Geeezzz.. I can't believe that the people who packed our things, packed everything even the cap of a pen. LOL .
I was able to hook up my computer but we still don't have connection. I was disappointed because I can't connect to the internet at all. We've been calling our internet provider , but not until today that they send someone to check our connection.
Well, I am now back to the blogging world. I really miss my blogging friends. I hope I would be able to visit all the people in my blog roll.
To all my friends who keep visiting my page, thanks so much :)

Hello Minnesota
At last we're here in Minnesota. We arrived Wednesday evening around 11:05 central time. Thank God we got here safely. There were some delays as we were in Chicago as well as when we were in Milwauke . Traffic was so backed up. In chicago , they close two lanes on each directions for construction. And when we got to WI, same thing too. But all in all our travel from Charleston SC to Rogers MN was smooth.
The next day we headed to our apartment.Todd and I plan to rent for a year and then buy a house after that. ( I just hope that our house in Columbus OH will be sold soon ). We took the keys and for our unit as well as keys to enter all the amenities that they have like the gym, billiard room and more. We also picked up the garage remote control. Then from the apartment , we checked in to the hotel where we're going to stay until our furniture and other personal things arrive. Then yesterday, Friday.. we picked Todd's rental car. Yes he will be using a rental car until his truck arrives which per our Relocation counselor, everything arrives on the 19th.Yes we will have a busy day ahead of us. On Monday Todd will start his new job while I will also start my " the same job " :) But not in SC.. it will be here in MN .

Bye Bye Charleston SC
On Tuesday June 10th, my husband and I finally leave Charleston SC . After living down here for almost 5 years we will say bye South Carolina. I will surely miss this place. Not only that I like the weather here, I also have friends and I love my church down here.
Todd has been wanting to move back to Minnesota. That's where he was born and besides his dad and his wife are on their 70's. So my husband wants to be near his dad. I cannot just imagine my first winter in Minnesota. I think that would be hard especially that I don't like cold weather. We don't have snow in South Carolina. The only time I saw snow is when we visit Columbus OH. ( our house in Columbus is still up for sale ). I am sure I can find new friends up there, and also would like my new church there.
I will surely miss the people at work. My co employees have been nice to me. And I love them all. My manager and all our sales reps are fantastic.Working with them is one of my wonderful experiences in South Carolina. I couldn't ask for more. I wouldn't forget all of them, as they already have a special place in my heart.
I will surely miss my two Filipino friends. I know there's a Filipino community in Charleston , but we chose not to join. The three of us have a very close friendship and I will never forget them. Last night, the three of us watch a Filipino movie at Clavelene's house. Last night would be the last time that I saw her and her little baby girl before we leave for MN. We had such a fun night.
I will surely miss my church. My husband and I have been a part of this church the whole time we're in SC. I love the people there, especially the seniors. I don't know why, but when I am at church I like to be around with older folks. I think it's because I just love to hear their stories, their testimonies and their experiences,on how faithful God is in their lives.
My husband and I have had ups and downs while living in SC. At first, I really don't like this place. And also the fact that the person who invited my husband to come down here lied to us. That was a bad experience, but God uses that experience so that Todd and I could be more faithful to Him. And looking back at all those bad experiences, all I can say is that " ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD, TO THOSE WHO LOVE GOD...... " Romans 8:28.

Our delayed Flight
This past weekend , Todd and I travelled to MN for a house hunting trip. Our flight from Charleston SC was scheduled to leave at 5 pm. I left work around 3 pm and just met my husband at the airport. We both work that day so we decided to just met at the airport so we won't be late for our flight. So we got there early. When we checked in there's no seat assigned to us yet. I think it's because we got there early.
At the gate we inquire about our seats, but we were told that they're not assigning seats yet. It doesn't make sense because when I booked the flight I assigned a seat to both me and my husband.
I thought that our plane will leave on time, but we left 30 minutes late. I am just glad that our lay over is quite longer. Our connecting flight from Memphis TN to Minneapolis MN was on time.
And then yesterday on our way back to Charleston SC, I thought everything was fine. We left Minneapolis on time and was able to arrived in Detroit airport on time. We had about almost 3 hours lay over. I really chose a longer lay over because the last time we're in MN , our plane was delayed and our connecting flight already left when we got to the terminal. So this time , we wanted to give ourselves plenty of time, that way we don't have to run trying to catch up our next flight.
But then, we had a really really long lay over .. grrrr! Our connecting flight was delayed for 2 hours. Instead of leaving at 9:40 , it was changed to 11:01. The reason was there was problem at Birmingham AL. It was very frustrating. We're already at the plane but then there was an emergency, so we had to stay at the ranway for about 30 minutes. There were ambulance and firetrucks. It was crazy. We arrived at Charleston around 1:30 am. And finally got home by 2 am. Go to sleep and got up by 6 am to go to work.
