Depressed!

Lately, I am kind of depress. I am pretty much active, enthusiastic and jolly, but now I feel so weak and tired and don't want to do anything. I don't even want to go to the gym anymore. Not Feeling Well

I made a post almost a month ago about having an acid reflux. If I remember correctly this started before the July 4th weekend. Until now, I still have this weird sensation . I just don't understand why I have this when I don't drink soda and am not eating any spicy hot foods .

So I went to the webmd website and read about acid reflux and how to manage it. They suggest not to go to bed with full stomach, don't overeat, eat slowly, wear loose clothing, lose weight ( okay, I only weigh 108 lbs , do I really need to lose weight? ) , don't smoke or avoid alcohol. ( I don't smoke or drink alcohol either )

My husband has been telling me that I need to see a doctor , and I keep telling him that I am still looking for a doctor. And since we're just new to the area, I don't know where to find ( this is just a good excuse, you can really tell I am such a stubborn) . Then Sunday our Pastor's wife told me to call her doctor and have an appointment , so I did, and guess what? My appointment won't be until August 13. Hmmm.. that's two weeks from now.

Annoying Phone Calls

Everyday at the same time our home phone rings. And it's the same number looking for someone whom my husband and I doesn't have any idea at all. After we got disconnected , I really wanted to call him back and I wanted to use the phone card that husband gave me to call my family in the Philippines. I had a problem when I was about to load the card, because my debit card still has the zip code of my old address in SC. And I accidentally enter my new zip code. I wasn't able to load my card, instead I was being transfer to someone whom I can hardly understand. Her day?

Since we moved up here in Minnesota my husband and I become busy almost every Saturday. I have been to a baby shower, or we go to a Twins game or go to my in-laws. One time we went to a wedding. That was actually that first time I have been in a wedding since I arrived in the US. The wedding was kind of different than most weddings that I have been to while I was in the Philippines. The wedding that we've been to two weeks ago was " all about her". I really believe that wedding/marriage is not just about the bride or one person, it's about TWO people. I actually has a lot of things to say about it. But I guess I will just keep it to myself. he he he.

Local Contractor

When our first renter in our house in Ohio trash the house,my husband and I were having a hard time finding someone to fix the house. I wish we have known Cleveland Contractors that time, these contractors will service our needs in remodelling, heating and air conditioning,roofing,general,plumbing , painting and many others. It was really hard for us to find a contractor since we were living in SC that time. My husband and I took a week vacation just to do the painting and repairs. We have to repaint the whole house and I tell you what it's not fun. Now I know who to call or contact when that house needs improvements.

IMAX Experience

Yesterday my husband and I celebrated one of our accomplishment to our journey to a debt free living. There are several destinations on this journey and everytime we accomplish that journey, we have to celebrate. We went to see " The Dark Knight" movie at an IMAX theater. It was my first time to go to an IMAX theater.And it was a wonderful experience. The showing didn't start until 1 pm , but we went there around noon. And we sure glad we got there early as the place was full.

( I tend to talk to myself most of the time ha ha ha ) I actually doesn't know how to check a page rank, but after several attempts , I was able to find it. LOL. I check this one first, and indeed , my Everything Under the Sun has a PR3 . I wasn't really expecting it. All I can say is thank you google for giving ranks on both my blogs. I guess from now on I will be able to have more opps? he he he. Only this blog though. I don't have plan to monetize my other blog although it has a page rank now.

Unexpected call

I got an unexpected call on my cellphone last night. It was my brother Edgar, who called me from the Philippines. I normally the one calling them as I don't want them to call me because it's expensive to call from the Philippines to the US. So it must be very important .And yes it was! Our mother is not doing well. They have to bring her to the hospital because she has been sick for 3 days. She's not eating and only drinks milk. How could you survive with just liquid? My brother told me that she is really weak. I was so worried about my mama's situation that I cried. I didn't went to bed until I heard from my brother. Around 11 pm , I got a text message from him. The doctor give 3 medications for my mother to take. Poor thing. I wish I could just go home right away and take care of my mother. All I could do here is pray for my mother and my family in the Philippines. I really do believe that prayers work even if you're a thousand miles away!

The Nickel

One day at my new place of work, a girl from the other door knocked on my door and asked if I have a nickel that she could borrow. I always have a change that I put in the drawer so I hand her one nickel. I actually don't know her names, there are lots of people at that building , but there seems to be snobbish people. I don't care, I have my own office anyway. They only talk to me when they need something .

Anyway, the next day as I was getting ready to go home, I saw a nickel on the floor next to the door. I was like, hmmm.. she return my nickel! I like that she return my nickel, but one thing that I don't like is the way she return it.And she never even told me, " hey I put your nickel in your door". When she borrowed me that Nickel, I handed it to her, so I would expect her to do the same. Even though it's just a small thing. Oh well!

It's hot in here

It's hot in here that I can't breath. This is what my husband always say when summer time comes when we live in Charleston South Carolina. It was really hot where we used to live. One time we have to replace a/c compressor because the house gets really hot. I do prefer hot temperature than cold, but my husband cannot stand it.

Double Baby Shower

My friend from CB invited me to attend a baby shower for her two Filipina friends last Saturday. I was really excited and looking forward for it because I wanted to meet a lof of Pinays. I really do miss my two lovely friends back in Charleston SC.

I went there by myself since Todd was busy that day. I wasn't expecting that there was a bad weather that day. As I was approaching Nora's house, it starts raining. First of all, I am scared to drive in the rain. And also the fact that, that was the fist time I went to Nora's house by myself. My husband and I went their last year when we came to visit her and her family.

And guess what, 5 minutes after I got to their house a siren went off. There's a tornadoe coming! That was kind of scary. As I was looking at the clouds that was very low, I just said a silent prayer that God would protect us at that house as there's a bunch of us.

Anyway, the shower was for Marisal and Rochelle. Marisal will be having a girl while Rochelle will be having a boy. We had a great time, and yes.. We are very LOUD!!!

Bad Driver

Yesterday, July 16 my day started fine. My husband and I left for work at the same time, but we go to different directions,him towards west while me towards east. I like this new route that I am taking because I am able to save at least 18 miles of travel a day. Yes I drive 60 miles round trip to work every day. For the first two days that I been in that road, everything was fine. There's not a lot of traffic, but the problem is it has a low speed limit.

And yesterday morning as I was going down hill, there was a car on the lane where I am , driving towards me. I was doing 50mph when I saw him coming and I slam the brake as hard as I can making my purse and my lunch fly. I was like " what was that?" He's trying to pass another car but doesn't have enough time to go back to his lane. And guess what he passed the car infront of him in a NO PASSING ZONE. I was so scared, but was thankful to the LORD for keeping me safe. I was still shaking when I got to work yesterday morning. I am just glad that no one was following too close to me.

Fun Times in Charleston

My friend Marie was asking me about the pictures that were taken when I was still in Charleston SC. Moving from one place to another is not easy. I think it's okay if you're moving to the same state, but if your moving out of state. There's a lot of hassle. One of them is getting our driver's license change as well as the tag of the car. My husband and I has to take a half day off from work just to get these things taken care of. Here in Minnesota is different, in order for us to get a MN driver's license we have to take a written test, it's like we trying to get a learner's permit. I hope this is the last move that we are going to make.

Twins Territory

July 5, was a Military appreciation day. I am not sure when did the Twins started this , but Todd and I have been to the Military appreciation day for the Twins baseball game twice already. We took Todd's sister to the ball game and we really had a great time, especially that the Twins won the game. My favorite Twins players are Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau. I even teadsed my husband that Mauer is my number 2 and Morneau is my number 3. Of course my husband is the number 1. And he said " sweetheart, do you know that they are more than a decade younger than you." Ouch.. that means I am old. Ha ha ha .

I thought the Twins lose that day as the Indians had 5 runs during the second inning. Everybody at the stadium was so quite except for the few Indians fans. But then on the 6th inning, the Twins had 5 runs. Karon and I were really loud at the game so is the rest of the Twins fans.

Here are some pictures that I took , most of these were taken before the game started . I did not take as much pictures when after the first picth as I wanted to just concentrate on the game. I forgot to mention our door prize.. we got a Twins Territory flag.
