Use it and Return it ?

My husband bought me a portable heater. I took it to work yesterday and was so excited that finally I have a heater. But unfortunately, when I turned it on, nothing happened. Yes, the heater is not good. So I shoot a very short e-mail to my husband telling him that the heater is not working and also asked him if he still have the receipt. I am glad that we still have the receipt. We are going to have it exchanged. I really don't like returning things that I bought unless it's not working. I actually bought two pairs of shoes that I ended up giving to friends because it does not fit me. ( I order it online ). Some people will use the the merchandise they bought and then returned it and get their money back. I think that is not fair. It is like you're stealing!


I actually have a friend who told me that he mother in law, likes to buy expensive purses and dresses, use it at the very special occasion and then return it and get a refund after the event. What a shame! I think she really need to be very careful not to spill her drinks into her lovely dress.. ha ha ha .

I just want lots of socks!

After Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws place, we drew names for Christmas. In our names, we have to put what we would like to receive for Christmas. I think it was a little bit weird, that we have to put the things that we want. It's just different from the secret Santa I know. Anyway, when my husband's niece asked me, what I want, I told her just anything, but before we start drawing names, I have changed my mind. Considering we live in a very cold State, I would like to get something that I can use during the winter. I was actually planning to tell them that I wanted to received a portable heater to put near my feet at work , because my feet and legs get really cold. And there's nothing I can do about it. But since, the limit of our exchange gift is not that much, I told her that I wanted to receive Socks, lot of socks. Winter has officially started and I do not like it. Not only that winter here in Minnesota is so cold, I do not like driving in the snowy or icy roads. It is just very dangerous. This must be THE Global warming effect!

So we had a really nice weather Saturday, it was a perfect one I think. The temperature was almost 40 degrees. I was loving it. I went out to go shopping by myself.

And then on Sunday, I got up late. My husband forgot to turn the alarm for me. He left early that morning. So I was not able to attend Sunday School that morning. If it was not raining that morning, I would be able to get to Church on time for Sunday School. The temperature Sunday morning was above freezing and it was raining , so all the snow on the ground melted and became ice which makes the road so slippery. I was able to get to the morning service, ( I felt so bad, because I have missed the Sunday School for the first time since we moved up here in Minnesota ).

After Church I directly went home. The weather was getting so bad and the temperature dropped so fast. And our low that evening became a single digit.

Yesterday was really cold. The temperature in the car as I was going to work was minus 7 and high yesterday was only -4, with a wind chill of -20 to -30. It's not even officially winter yet, but we already have below zero temperature. All I could say is this must be the Global warming effect. ( NOT ) LOL!

Telephone Number Look Up

Lately, our home telephone rang in a not so convenient time. I don't like to make phone calls when it is past 8 in the evening unless it is very important. But it looks like the telemarketer does not care if they call someones home when they are already sleeping. Most of the times , I just let the answering machine picks up the call. I told my husband if it's really important , they will leave a message but they don't. Can you imagine how annoying it is ? We can now trace this number by using Reverse Phone Search.

Let it Snow!!!

Winter finally started in Minnesota ( for me , though) . We had snow since Friday. My husband and I had plenty of plans for the weekend, but he has to work whole day Saturday and has to work until 7 pm last Friday. We canceled all our plans, we were supposed to go to the company Christmas party Friday evening and then Church Breakfast Saturday morning and then we were invited to attend a birthday party at 3 pm Saturday. But we were not able to attend to any one of these events.

I felt lazy Saturday morning so what I did was just stayed home all day long. The only time I went out was when I checked the mail. Who wants to go out when it's cold and snowy? Brrr... The worst temperature is yet to come, ( that's what they told me ) .

Yesterday ( Sunday ) after Church , it was snowing again. So while waiting for my husband Teresa and I decided to go outside for some winter photos. I was making funny faces in the pictures though .. LOL ..

Pacquiao Reigns Over De La Hoya

I was kind of bored today so I logged into my favorite chatroom. I was supposed to go to a birthday party but I got lazy and I don't feel like going out. And yes,it is very cold outside and and I don't like driving in the snow either.

The Filipinas in the chatroom were all talking about the fight between Pacquiao and De La Hoya. So out of curiosity I visited my favorite Filipino website and read about it. And now I wanted to watch the fight. But then, you can only watch the fight via PPV. I waited and waited for an update and then here it is, PACMAN won by TKO. Wow I am just impressed! I was really expecting him to win the fight as Oscar was the favorite. Even ESPN and Sports Illustrated believed that it will be Oscar who will win the fight. Glad to Have my Little Car Back

Two weeks after my " deer encounter" , I finally have my little car back. For some reason, I am not really comfortable driving the rental car that I have. First, it was not good on gas. Although gas is cheaper now, I still like to save some money especially that Christmas is coming and yes, I still have to pay for the deductible. That deer encounter was a bit expensive. The total cost for the repair is $ 4739.00. I am encouraging all the deer hunters out there to kill all the deer. ha ha ha ha..

No Idling ?

Temperature here in Minnesota keeps going down and down and down. We already have snows here. And last night , as I was watching the local news on TV. I heard that in Minneapolis, they passed a " No Idling" law???? You are only allowed to warm up your car for 3 minutes and you have to go! Are they kidding me? If you left you warm up your car more than 3 minutes you will get a ticket. You can warm up your card for more than 3 minutes when the temperature is below 0. It's not even officially winter here yet and the temperature is already in a single digit with a wind chill of below zero. I think that is ridiculous! When we lived in South Carolina, we let our cars warmed up for more than 10 minutes and we don't even have a single digit temperature there. This would be a very long winter for me. And by the way, the reason for not idling your car for too long is to minimize air pollution! Yeah, whatever!

Taken a few minutes ago...and the snow still coming down.... brrrrr...
