Entrecard Outage
Unexpected outage: During a routine ram upgrade on the database server our hosting provider installed a bad chipset, we are scrambling to try and get them to remove it again, we'll be back as soon as we can.
Update we're just waiting for the provider to do the switchout. Hopefully we won't be down too much longer
I was complaining to my husband why our Internet tonight was kind of slow while I was dropping EC. And then a few minutes later I got the above message. I might not be able to return the favor to those who dropped EC to me today/tonight. It's past 8 pm and I am not sure what time Entrecard will be back to normal before my bedtime which is 9:00 pm.

It's our 7th Wedding Anniversary
Yes, today is my husband and my 7th wedding anniversary. I can't believe how fast the time flies. It seems like we just got married a year ago. But no, it's been 7 years and counting. We don't do anything special today because we both went to work and tonight we are going to church for the midweek worship service.
But we are going to do something special tomorrow as we both took a vacation. You might be wondering why we're taking a vacation tomorrow instead of today. :)
Anyway, I am happy that we're going to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary together, unlike during our 5th wedding anniversary. My husband was deployed in the Middle East during that time.

Somewhere in the Middle East --- He was there for 11 months : (The two lovebirds :)

Bye Sub Zero Temperatures, etc.
After more than 80 hours of having a sub zero temperature, we finally hit above zero this afternoon. Whooahh.. and we are going to have a heat wave this weekend and next week. Since Monday evening we had a very , very cold weather here in Minnesota. From Tuesday morning till this morning, the temperature as registered in my car was 22 below. And this is the actual temperature. I am so blessed to have a heated car garage, I don't have to outside in the morning and clean up the car with all snow and warm it up.
Anyway, let's change the topic. I am just done chatting with my sister in the Philippines. She told me that my brother is going to be discharged this afternoon. They took my younger brother to the hospital and the doctors had to put him oxygen. I was so worried about my brother. I can't really do anything except to pray for him. And I am so grateful to the Lord for extending His healing power to my brother. I am also thankful to my generous husband, who doesn't think twice when I told him that I need to send money to my family. I actually took that money out from our savings account. But I am going to put it back, and hopefully I would be able to find good CD Rates as I am planning to buy more CD's. It's really wise to save money in this economy that we have now.

It's Bed Time !
I really believe that the kind of bed that we are using greatly affects our sleep. My husband and I had a bad experienced about having a not so good bed. Back in December 2007, my husband woke up in the middle of the night complaining about his back. At first, I thought it was just an ordinary back pain. So I decided to just do apply some home remedies for his back pain. When it didn't help, I asked him if he would like to go to the emergency. He kept saying no, that is fine. But then, about 4:00 a.m. he finally asked me if I could drive him to the emergency. That was a scary moment. We left right away and got to the emergency room in no time. I was probably speeding during that time. They have an X-Ray and other tests and that they have to put my husband in an ambulance to go to the main hospital.
The doctor advised my husband that he needs to get a new bed. And since then, my husband doesn't have experienced that same problem again. If you are having a problem with your back, you might need to get a new bed. And Time4Sleep, they have a wide selection of beds. They have leather beds, faux leather beds and real leather beds. Now you can sleep in luxury with this very beautiful and high quality leather beds. I believe the looks or the style of the bed really matters. I want a bed that is so comfortable that you don't want to get up in the morning and Time 4 Sleep has this kind of bed!

Call me " Old Lady"
I would like to start my post by thanking God for keeping me and my husband safe today. Lord, thank you so much!
Driving home from work today was very challenging. I think it snowed since 8:30 this morning and even when I was driving home it was still snowing. Although I have been here in the US for almost 6 years, this is the first time that I am actually living in a place where winter can be harsh. Yes, we live in South Carolina for about 5 years and never experienced a real winter there.
It took me an hour and half to get home this afternoon. I normally leave work at 3:30 pm , but I believe I did not leave until 3:40 because I still have to clean the windshield and the back window and make sure the headlights and tail lights are not covered with snow. I just want people to see me he he he. I listened to the radio as I was driving home and oh boy, from the time I left work until I turned the engine off, I heard there were 4 roll overs and many spin outs blocking the roads and ramps . There are many scary drivers out here. They know that the roads are very slippery and yet they still want to drive 70 mph. There's this one girl following too close to me and I think she was expecting me to move to the other lane. I said to myself, "Hey, I am already in the slow lane, if you wanted to fly go ahead and oh I don't mind if you call me " old lady " . Yes she was such in a hurry while the rest of the people are driving carefully. My husband once told me, if you wanted to be old, when the weather is not so good, drive like an old person and don't mind if other drivers will call you old!

Saturday Night is Movie Night
My husband and I love to watch movies. As a matter of fact, Saturdays are our movie nights. But lately, he's been working overtime on Saturdays and when he gets home , he is tired and just want to go to bed after we eat our supper. We really like to watch a movie that during summer and fall ( while there's no snow on the ground ) we always walk to the theater and watch a movie. We like to watch a movie about a family or a sports movie or anything that is wholesome and we love to watch a kid's movie. There was one time when we went to the theater and I was kind of embarrass because that movie was for children and the first two people who arrived at the theater are two big adults .
Having a movie marathon while waiting for the New Years became one of our tradition. We do not want to go out while waiting for 12 midnight, I think it is very dangerous outside with all the drunk drivers on the road. So my husband will buy plenty of popcorn for the movie marathon. Whether we are at the theater or we are at home, my husband likes to have his popcorn.
One of the movie that I like to watch over and over again is Fly Away Home. And I am so looking forward to watch All Roads Lead Home The Movie . Watching the preview, I can tell that this movie is a great movie for the whole family. Please click below to watch the trailer of this beautiful movie.

Calling Cards to Philippines
It's been a while since the last time I called my family in the Philippines. Every time, I called my family I always use Phone Cards. I really wanted to call them as often as I can, but the Prepaid Phone Card that my husband gave me the first month I arrived in the US was lost. I can't seem to find it. It's my fault though, the last time I used that card, I shoved it away as I was so irritated with that company. I was so disappointed because my $10.00 phone card only lasted 49 minutes. I think that was ridiculous.
And then last week, we had a situation back home, and I really wanted to call home. I tried to look for the phone card that I used to have, but I think I already tossed it away. I did my research and I found this great website that sells Calling Cards for a very reasonable price. For my $10 purchase, I would be able to talk to my family for 92 minutes. And good thing is, there's no connection fees. And if you are a first time buyer, you'll get a 40 % extra. I think this is a very good deal. So if you are looking for a website to buy a calling phone card whether it is domestic or international phone cards, I encourage you to visit this website today!

Happy New Year
We said goodbye to 2008 and welcome 2009 full of hope, hope that this year will be a fruitful and a peaceful one. 2008 may not be the best year, but God was with me and my husband throughout the year. There were some not so good things happened but that doesn't mean that God wasn't with me. " Everything works together for good.... " ( Romans 8:28 ) And as I welcome 2009, I wanted to use Philippians 3:13-14 as my life verse for this year.
" Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended, but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus".
May each of us will have a wonderful and a Blessed 2009!
