Heartburn... Ouch!!!

Heartburn is a painful burning sensation in the esophagus, just below or behind the breastbone. The pain often rises in your chest and may radiate to your neck or throat. Heartburn is also known as Pyrosis and non-cardiac chest pain.

As far as I remember I have not experience this until this week. It started Sunday afternoon, I really don't know what I ate. But I have this burning sensation until now. Wednesday was the worse that when I got home I feel like I have lost all my energy. My throat and back neck hurt as well as my stomach. I was thinking maybe it was just an effect of my working out on my abs intensely. But I have been working out for awhile and doesn't have this kind of pain.

My husband bought me some over the counter medicine for acid reflux, but it didn't help at all. So he suggested that I see a doctor. Hmmm.. I am not sure about seeing a doctor yet, but seems like I have no choice. The thing is , we are really new in the area so I am not sure where to go.

I just hope that this burning sensation is gone before the weekend is over.

Mahi Mahi

This is my supper tonight. Isn't it yummy? Rice and fish are the 2 most favorite foods of mine. I can eat these foods everyday and won't complain about it. I even eat rice for breakfast. A lot of people told me that I have to minimize my rice intake because it's not good for me. But I don't see anything wrong with it. They said that if I keep eating rice that I will gain weight. Oh well.

Anyway , this fish is called mahi mahi. I just marinate this with silver swan soy sauce and lemon and a little garlic , then bake it. It's really good. Although I eat a lot of rice, I have to make sure that I also eat lot of vegetables and fruits. And of my favorite is broccoli. AS you can see , I have rice , fish and broccoli :)

Girls Day Out

Our church had a spring day spa and brunch and me and my friend Marie went there. Clavelene was supposed to go with us, but she wasn't feeling well. I understand, with this crazy weather that we have in SC almost everybody I know here got sick. They either have a strep , or a flu or cough and cold and allergy. And aside from this weather my friend Clavelene is also pregnant with her second baby. And they just found out that she is having a baby boy. They are a complete family now , with daughter and a son . I am so happy for her and I am praying that she will have a healthy pregnancy.

Well back to the topic, so it's just me and Marie who went there. We met at the mall and she just ride with me to the church. We arrived there kind of late, but still we enjoyed our stay there. She had her manicure done while I had a massage, oh that was great. And of course I love the brunch that they prepare for everybody. One thing I like being a Christian and especially being a Southern Baptist is , we always eat LOL.

So I decided to just eat whatever I can find in the kitchen. Then I found these fruits .So my lunch today is mango, grapes and strawberry . I love fruits and I do make sure that I bought fruits every time I go grocery shopping . Fruits and vegetables are some of my favorite foods .

Wellness Screening

Every year we have a wellness screening at work . They wanted to make sure that their employees are in good health . This year we have our wellness screening this morning. We have been told to fast the night before the screening. Oh I was so hungry when I get to the office this morning. I filled out the form needed , then handed it to the nurse. I thought this time they will just have our fingers prick to get a little blood like they always do. But this time its different , they actually have to have our blood drawn. When the nurse is about to get blood from me, she was having a hard time finding a vein, which is strange because I am skinny. I have lots of veins showing ha ha ha. When she finally found a vein, she stick the needle right away, and oh boy, it hurt so bad. ( I am scared of needles and blood ) . Then she said, " its drawing really slow". Then I replied, maybe I dont have a blood? I think it took about more than a minute to fill up that little bottle . One of the guy who saw me did'nt have his blood drawn as he was scared when he saw how she did it to me . LOL My right arm was really achy. I asked some of my officemate if there's are also hurting , but they said its fine, and that they didnt feel any pain. An hour late, my arm still hurts, so I finally take the bandage off , and then I found out, that she didn't really drawn a blood coming out of my veins, as she puts the needle directly into my skin and flesh. OUCH!. I am not sure if I am going to do this next year.
